End-to-end digital process for recurring inspections
A large proportion of avoidable costs are caused by inefficient work. The time factor plays a major role here. Non-transparent data, a lack of clarity in planning and direct access to data are also major problems in the maintenance sector. Out-of-date data often leads to misunderstandings and duplication of work.
An example:
As a maintenance manager, you are responsible for the safety of your lifting equipment. You have therefore commissioned an inspection company to carry out an annual inspection in accordance with DGUV regulations. When this is done and how it is documented is often a matter for the inspection company. You will only receive an overview of the status and condition of your load handling attachments once they have been invoiced. Test reports are often created and sent separately and assigned to the wrong objects. Load handling attachments are constantly being procured or discarded. It is difficult to maintain an overview here. How is it possible to have access to information on the inventory and condition of equipment subject to mandatory inspection at all times in order to meet your responsibilities?
The answer:
End-to-end digitalization of the planning, execution and logging of the entire recurring inspection process using the Fraunhofer IFF’s electronic inspection service application (elisa). “elisa” is a lean software solution and was specially developed by practitioners for practitioners. It contains inspection routines for many classes of inspection objects and a workflow without system and media breaks. Tests are thus processed faster and more reliably. Test objects are identified using AutoID technologies (RFID, QR code).
Once the inspection has been completed, all documentation processes are completed immediately and stored in a history for the inspection object. The time savings can be up to 50% compared to today.
